On Tuesday, Aguirre made the announcement in a press conference at the NBI Headquarters in Manila.
"I would like to tell you about the biggest drug bust conducted by the NBI in three successive incidents beginning December 1, 23 and yesterday, December 26," Aguirre said during the press conference.
"We have verified with the PDEA (Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency), it is not only the biggest haul this year, but the biggest so far in history," Aguirre added.
The illegal drugs, packed in bags, were presented during the press conference. One kilogram of packed shabu could sell for as much as P10 million, Aguirre said.
The NBI Task Force Against Illegal Drugs conducted the series of operations, which took four months from September to December.
The seizure of the illegal drugs also resulted in the arrest of 10 individuals, including three Chinese nationals and seven Filipinos.
Collectively called "Red Dragons" by the NBI, the suspects were presented to the members of the media during the press conference.
Assistant Regional Director Roel Bolivar, commander of NBI Task Force Against Illegal Drugs, said they received intelligence information about the suspects in September.
The operations in the arrest of Ansary Candotan and Jimefe Candotan on December 1, and Saadoding Monib and Abubakr Mamarinta on December 2.
Three Chinese nationals and three Filipinos were arrested in separate drug raids in San Juan City on December 23 and brought to the Department of Justice on Tuesday for inquest.
They are facing drug charges for violating the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
With the development, Aguirre claimed the government is winning its war on drugs, the centerpiece of President Rodrigo Duterte's administration.
