LTFRB WARNING: Let the passengers file a complaints vs abusive taxi drivers

On Wednesday, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) issued a warning on abusive taxi drivers and urged the public to file complaints against them.

After warning transport network companies Grab and Uber over “unreasonable” surges, LTFRB also cautioned taxi drivers against imposing high fare rates and refusing passengers during the busy holiday season. The agency said in a statement that “LTFRB reserves its right to recommend to Land Transportation Office (the) cancellation of your driver’s license.”

LTFRB also urged taxi operators to supervise and monitor their drivers, as the agency had the right to cancel their certificates of public convenience (CPC).

LTFRB is urging the public to send details such as location, nature of complaint, and photos as they read all of the complaints.
